Membership Terms and Conditions

1. About Club Exhale

Club Exhale is a private members club operated by Exhale Group Ltd, trading as Teesside Cannabis Club, based in Stockton-on-Tees. We are a harm reduction and educational organisation focused on providing a safe, inclusive space for adult cannabis users. Membership is a privilege, not a right, and is granted entirely at our discretion.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to adults aged 21 and over regardless of nationality or country of residence. The same rules and terms apply to all members.

To apply for membership you must:

Be aged 21 or over
Provide valid photographic ID (passport, driving licence, or equivalent)
Provide proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, or equivalent)
Complete our pre-screening application honestly and in full
Not have previously had membership refused or revoked by Club Exhale or any associated club
Not have been refused a medical cannabis prescription on mental health grounds, or been advised by a healthcare professional that cannabis use may be harmful to your mental health

We reserve the right to refuse any application at our absolute discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.

3. Membership Fee and Duration

Annual membership costs £120.00, payable in person at the club on the day of activation
Membership runs for 12 months from the date of activation
Discounted membership is available for those aged 65+, ex-services personnel, NHS workers, and those receiving PIP — please contact info@teessidecannabisclub.co.uk before attending

4. Activation — Completing Your Membership

Once your application has been approved, you will have 6 months to visit the club in person to complete your registration and pay your membership fee. Membership is only fully active once you have attended in person and payment has been received.

Your 12-month membership period begins from the date you attend the club and your membership is activated — not from the date of your application.

When you attend for activation, staff will verify your identity against the photo ID you submitted as part of your application. You do not need to bring your original documents — just yourself and a form of payment. Staff may ask you to confirm personal details to complete the process.

Your membership card will be issued on the day of activation. Once you have your card, it (or a clear photograph of it) is sufficient for entry on future visits.

If you do not attend to activate your membership within 6 months of approval, your application will lapse and you will need to reapply.

New members must observe a 24-hour waiting period after submitting their application before attending the club for the first time. Once you receive your approval notification you are welcome to come in and complete your membership at any time during our opening hours.

5. Pre-Screening and Verification

All applicants are required to complete our pre-screening process, which includes answering a series of questions and uploading identity documents. This process exists to protect the safety and integrity of the club and its members.

Providing false or misleading information during the application process will result in immediate refusal or revocation of membership, and may result in a permanent ban.

6. Membership Card

Upon activation, members will be issued a Club Exhale membership card. This card must be presented on entry to the club. Members without their card may be refused entry.

Your membership card is personal to you and must not be shared, transferred, or used by any other person.

7. Concessions

Discounted membership is available for:

Adults aged 65 and over
Ex-services personnel
NHS workers
Those in receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

8. Club Rules

By becoming a member, you agree to abide by the following rules at all times whilst on club premises:

Access

Members only — no guests, no exceptions
Valid membership card and ID must be presented on entry
Entry may be refused at the discretion of staff

Conduct

Zero tolerance towards discrimination, abuse, sexual harassment, or any anti-social behaviour
Respectful behaviour towards staff, members, and club property is required at all times
Be mindful of other members\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' personal space and conversations

Substances and Safety

No alcohol or outside drinks permitted on the premises
No drugs other than your own prescribed or personal cannabis
No member-to-member sales of any kind
Do not distribute your medication — keep it secure and out of reach of others
No cigarette smoking on the premises — medicinal vaporisers and tobacco alternatives are available
Do not drive or operate heavy machinery whilst under the influence
If you experience any negative side effects, please seek assistance from a member of staff immediately

Premises

A £4 lounge entry fee applies — this is waived when you spend £10 or more in the club shop
Cash only on premises
No personal speakers — headphones must be used if you wish to listen to your own audio
No soliciting
No refunds or exchanges — please check your purchase before leaving

Community and Legal

We work alongside local authorities — please respect the neighbourhood when leaving the premises
Store your cannabis out of sight outside the club
Do not break the law
We are here to reduce harm and change the stigma around cannabis use — please reflect these values

Any breach of these rules may result in immediate removal from the premises and/or permanent revocation of membership.

9. Revocation of Membership

We reserve the right to revoke membership at our absolute discretion. Grounds for revocation include, but are not limited to:

Providing false or misleading information on your application
Breach of the club rules set out in Section 8
Behaviour that poses a safeguarding risk to staff or other members
Abuse of the membership system, club property, or club services
Any conduct that brings Club Exhale or Exhale Group Ltd into disrepute
Any situation in which we determine, in our reasonable judgement, that continued membership is not appropriate

Revocation is permanent in serious cases. No refund will be issued upon revocation of membership.

10. Use at Your Own Risk — Limitation of Liability

Use of Club Exhale\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s facilities and services is entirely at your own risk.

Exhale Group Ltd and its staff will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft, injury, or adverse effects experienced whilst on or in connection with club premises or services. This includes but is not limited to:

Loss or theft of personal belongings
Physical injury sustained on the premises
Any adverse effects arising from the consumption of cannabis or cannabis-related products
Any loss arising from interactions with other members

Members are responsible for their own health, safety, and wellbeing at all times. If you experience any negative effects whilst at the club, please seek assistance from a member of staff immediately — we have links to a range of external support services.

Nothing in this clause limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence.

11. Refund Policy

As payment is taken in person at the point of activation, there is no online payment to refund. If, following activation, you choose to cancel your membership, no refund will be issued for the remaining membership period except where required by law.

If your membership is revoked due to a breach of these terms, no refund will be issued.

12. Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.teessidecannabisclub.co.uk/privacy-policy/.

We do not share your membership information with any third party without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Membership Terms and Conditions at any time. Active members will be notified of significant changes. Continued membership following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
